Passport Free Caribbean is a nice blog post about why with the new U.S. Passport rules Culebra, Puerto Rico is the place to go!I was having a nice time with their post until I read this: "and you can take the $75.00 that you would have spent on getting a passport and instead you can have a nice meal out while you are here."
Wow! One meal for $75!! I say... spend the $75 on a passport and have a real adventure. Try a caribbean adventure in San Andres, COLOMBIA! That $75 might buy you a great dinner every night for a week! Plus a passport is good for 10 years, a dinner in Puerto Rico is just one night!
Spend a few more dollars for a flight to Bogota and buy some real Colombian emeralds for much less than you would back home. Pick up a few for friends and pay for you whole trip!
Your choice: Puerto Rico: Boring. Colombia: Adventure!
