Seemingly designed to baffle an onlooker, is what Villa de Leyva seems to be at first glance. The vast and empty expanse of the plaza therein, of this colonial city that is located more than three hours away from Bogota, is what tends to make one feel, a somewhat, sense of insignificance.
With only the paving stones giving the streets shape and form, even one of the largest town's in the Southern continent, Plaza Mayor, lacks the decorative craft which many smaller towns in, and around the country of Columbia are known for having.
